For the time being the old catalogue still works, and members with library cards issued before then can still use access JSTOR and Loeb via the old catalogue as above. You can also start to use the new catalogue, following the instructions below.

JSTOR

Remote access to JSTOR is now available for current members of the Society. You can access JSTOR in two ways:

Option 1:

  1. Go to JSTOR's website and click on 'Log in' in the top right-hand corner of the screen.
  2. Click on 'Find your institution' right at the bottom of the box that pops up.
  3. In the search box that appears, type 'University of London: External System (ATHENS)' and click on it when it pops up.
  4. Select the option 'Login for Library Members' to log into your Library account using the email address you have registered with us. If you're logging into the new system for the first time, take a look at our guidance on logging in
  5. Once you're logged in, JSTOR will ask if you want to create a personal account. You do not have to do this.

Option 2:

  1. Log into the catalogue using your registered email address and password (guidance available on the library website).
  2. Search for the journal title you want (e.g., Phronesis), click on its title, and follow the "JSTOR Archival Journals and Primary Sources Collection" link on the catalogue record that pops up. Links to other resources e.g. EBSCOhost, Brill Online Journals, etc. might not work, as they may come from Senate House Library's subscriptions!

Please let the Library know if you have issues using OpenAthens.
